Kirrie Glen draws its inspiration from the family’s rich Scottish roots.

Kirrie Glen has been owned by Janet Burt’s family for over forty years. The name originated from the family’s unique Scottish roots; Janet’s family, the MacDuff clan, is originally from the town of Kirriemuir in the county of Angus in Scotland.

Known as the Gateway to the Glens, Kirriemuir is also the birthplace of Sir James Barrie, author of the celebrated children’s story Peter Pan. Janet’s grandmother, Annie Barrie, was the niece of the author.

Kirrie Glen’s distinctive logo was inspired by this legendary tale, featuring Captain Hook’s pirate ship sailing over the magical island of Neverland, the paradise home of Peter Pan and the Lost Boys.
